Susan Jane Bach

Susan Jane Bach 68 of Smithton passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant after many months of suffering from multiple health issues. Susie was born December 1, 1948 in Smithton the daughter of the late Arthur and Edith Lynn Bach. She was the youngest of eight children, was a 1966 graduate of South Huntingdon High School and received an associate degree in culinary arts form Westmoreland Community College. Susie was employed by Brookevale Manufacturing and the US Postal Service, retiring after 20 years of service. She especially loved cooking, baking, sewing, travel, casino's and bingo. Susie will be missed by her siblings, nieces and nephews and friends. Surviving are Curtis Branthoover (Joanne) of Belle Vernon, Betty Mittag of Raleigh, NC, Melvin Bach (Rebecca) of MD, Kenneth Bach and Jennie Bach of Smithton; sister-in-law, Helen Bach of Smithton, 13 nieces and nephews and 22 great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by brothers, Arthur M. and Wayne Bach and a grand niece, Darla Bach.
