Suzanne Shoup Wehner, 79, a resident of Acme, PA, Bullskin Township for 14 years, formerly of Aurora, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 29, 2018.
She was born on September 16, 1938, the eldest child of the late Robert and Madeleine Cole Shoup in Cleveland, OH. Mrs. Wehner was a devout Catholic and parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Aurora, OH and St. Raymond of the Mountains Parish in Donegal, PA. After the death of her husband, William, she moved to Acme to live with her son, Peter, and his family.
She is survived by her five sons: Matthew Wehner of Florida; Michael Wehner and wife, Jolene, of Ohio; Paul Wehner and wife, Julie, of Indiana; Peter Wehner and wife, Beth; and Jeffrey Wehner of North Carolina; grandchildren Tristan, Evan, Jake, Luke, Tess, Owen and Lillian Wehner, and Grace Mary and Belle Blomquist, and their mother, Therese Minnillo; two brothers, Geoff Shoup and partner Linda Zemke of North Carolina and Bruce Shoup of Washington, and her sister, Sr. Carol Shoup of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, of California; as well as several nieces and nephews, and soon, three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Christopher Shoup.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, 342 S. Chillicothe Road, Aurora, OH 44202 with the Rev. William Kranak as Celebrant. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Aurora Cemetery.
A Memorial Mass at St. Raymond of the Mountains Parish in Donegal will be scheduled and announced later.
