Thelma Ruth Hoke

Thelma Ruth Fenton Hoke of Mt Pleasant (Bullskin Twp) passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025 at her home with her family by her side. Thelma was born on May 14, 1936 in Pleasant Unity, daughter of Lloyd Fenton and Martha Zelmore Fenton. She graduated from East Huntingdon High School in 1954. She was an Insurance Agent and Broker retiring in 2013. She was a member of the Paradise Church since 1961, a member of the Eastern Star since 1969, Bullskin Lioness since 1984, where she was past President from 1993-94, a recipient of the Melvin Jones award in 1998, a member of the Faithful Friends Class and Today's Diciples Class, Chairman of the Fellowship Committee for 50 years, a volunteer for the Bullskin food pantry since 2011. She loved to bake pies as birthday presents for family and friends, and had a heart of gold to always help anyone in need, she was married to the love of her life, the late Robert E. Hoke for 53 years. Family was a very important part of her life, her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the loves of her life. She is survived by her sons Allen Hoke (Michelle) and James Hoke (Crystal), granddaughter Callie Neiderhiser (Luke), grandsons Michael and Andrew Hoke, great grandsons, Jaxson James, Judson Jimmy and Jagger Robert Neiderhiser, one sister in law Nellie Fenton, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her grandson Jimmy Hoke Jr., brothers, Eugene, Wade and sister in law Ethel Fenton. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 8 pm on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at SLATER-REGA FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC 730 W. Main Street Mt Pleasant. Additional visitation will be held from 10am to 11am on Monday at the Paradise Church in Bullskin, with the services at 11am. Everyone please go directly to the church.
