Thomas F. Bigley, 75 of Tarrs, passed away Thursday May 24, 2018 peacefully at his home with his wife by his side. Tom was born January 20, 1943 in Bullskin Twp. the son of the late Marshall E.F. and Margaret Shaner Bigley. He was a 1960 graduate of Connellsville High School, a Vietnam veteran serving with the Army, a member and former officer American Legion Post 446, Mt. Pleasant, Masonic Lodge 562, Scottdale and past member of various clubs in the area. Tom was retired and an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Dockmonish Bigley; children, Robert Scott Bigley of Mt. Pleasant, Brian Keith Bigley (Jessica) of Connellsville, Joel David Bigley (Olive) of Dunbar, Cynthia McVay of TX and Mary Morris (Devon) of Kissimme, Fl; grandchildren, Robbie, Kyle, Hope, Mariah, Kody, Kelsey, Shawn, Kelsea and Madison; great grandchildren, Mia, Brianna and Rosalie; brothers, Richard Bigley (Kay) of Elizabethtown, Dr. David Bigley (Ruthann) of Scottdale and Cheryl Pallygus (James) of Scottdale; brothers and sisters in law, Jovan Dockmanovich (Jim), Samuel Dockmonish (Betty), Nicholas Dockmonish, Jr., Donna King (Anthony) and Nattie Scipio (Louis); also numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be from 2 to 8PM Saturday at SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mt. Pleasant where The Canon of Departure will be sung at 1PM Sunday, with the Reverend Father Jovan Dockmanovich, CHA of the Orthodox Church of the Synaxis of the Holy Apostles, Raleigh, NC officiating. The family would like to thank Excela Health Hospice for their care of Tom during his illness. A Litiya for the departed will be sung Saturday at 2:30PM followed by a service by Masonic Lodge at 7PM in the funeral home.
