Tomas R. "Suds" Sandzimier, 51 of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 at UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Tomas was born January 13, 1966 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Margaret Siwula Sandzimier of Scottdale and the late Bernard Sandzimier. Tom was a 1984 Graduate of Southmoreland High School, a member of the B.P.O.E. #370 Uniontown and East Huntingdon Lions Club, attended St. Vincent College and the Florida Culinary Institute. Tom was formerly employed by Herr's and was a self employed Chef who loved to cook Sunday meals for family and friends, he also enjoyed listening to the Polka radio shows on Sunday's, and was loved by everyone.
In addition to his mother, Tom is survived by his wife, who lost the love of her life, Kimberly Zelmore Sandzimier; children, William Michael Sandzimier at home, Philip Cochenour and wife Holly of Mt. Pleasant, Andrea Watson and husband Kirk of Scottdale; special grandchildren, AhLeah and Blake Cochenour, Makenzie, Lyndsay, Jordyn and Norah Watson; brothers, Michael Sandzimier and wife Colette of Farmington and John Sandzimier and companion, Abby Corbin of Wexford, mother-in-law, Nancy Zelmore of Mt. Pleasant and a very special lifelong friend, Don DeRosa of GA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Tom may be made to the National Kidney Foundation 2403 Sidney Street Suite 230 Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
Family and friends are invited from 2 to 8PM Wednesday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mt. Pleasant where services will be held at 1PM Thursday with Pastor Bob Huber officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Twp.
