Victor "Vic" Stashick

Victor "Vic" Stashick 88 of Mt. Pleasant passed away Wednesday June 24, 2015 at the Harmon House, Mt. Pleasant. Vic was born March 18, 1927 in Tarrs the son of the late Andrew and Julia Martinowski Stashick. Vic was a 1945 Graduate of East Huntingdon High School; he was a radio operator with the Army during WW II and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant. Vic retired from Kennemetal as a skilled machinist, was a member of American Legion Post 446 and VFW Post 3368, Mt. Pleasant, the Mt. Pleasant Fireman's Club, the Western Pennsylvania Fireman's Association, Slovak Club and Falcons Club of Mt. Pleasant, Everson PAK, where he played baseball in the Fay West Baseball League and a past member of the Kosciuszko Club, Mt. Pleasant, bowling in their league; he was also a member of the Mt. Pleasant Senior Citizen Center. Surviving are his children, Judy Kiral and husband Mike and Sandy George and husband Bill of Mt. Pleasant, Randy Stashick and wife Sandy of Georgia and Ron Stashick and wife Pam of Trafford; grandchildren, Michael Kiral and wife Amanda, Amy Peifer and husband Joe, Brandon George and wife Laura, Darcy Firmstone and husband Bill, Morgan Stashick, Adam Stashick and wife Meredith, Aaron Stashick and Allison Emsurak and husband Brad; great grandchildren Nyla Kiral, Brayden Stashick, Brooke and Zachary Emsurak and Jillian Stashick a sister Florence Walker of Mt. Pleasant and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Vic was preceded in death by his wife Anastasia Stashick, a great grandchild, Laney Grace Kiral and a brother-in-law E.W. (Bill) Walker. Family and friends are invited from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Friday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant 724-547-2122 where a blessing service will be held at 9:30AM Saturday followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post 446, Mt. Pleasant will follow in the Transfiguration Cemetery. A parish wake service will be held at 3PM FRiday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Center for Active Adults 424 Washington Street Mt.
