Virginia Louise Hunter

Virginia Louise Hunter 86 of Mt. Pleasant passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday, January 29, 2023.  Louise was born October 2, 1936 in Greenville, Mississippi a daughter of the late Donald Payton and Myra Mae Peyton Leach. Surviving are her children, Diane Vincent (Gary) and Chris Alford of Mt. Pleasant and Lee Hunter(Susan) of FL; grandsons, Scott Overly and Michael Sperlak and a granddaughter, Kayla Hight also a sister Verna Leach of TX.  In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Arthur Scott Hunter, a son Scott Hunter Jr.; 8 siblings and son in law, Bill Alford.  The family is extending an invitation for family and friends to join them in celebrating the life of Louise by attending a visitation on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 10am to 12pm at SLATER-REGA FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES 730 W. MAIN STREET MT. PLEASANT where a memorial service will  be held at noon with Rev Phillip Amaismeier officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Mt.
