Walter B. Greenawalt

Walter B. Greenawalt, 78, of Mt. Pleasant, Bullskin Township, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Thursday March 24, 2016. Born November 6, 1937, in Mt. Pleasant Twp., he was a son of the late Berzy and Lillian Wilson Greenawalt. Walter attended Mt. Joy Church of the Brethren, Mt. Pleasant, and Hurst High School. Walter was formerly employed for 32 years as a welder for the Durloy Corp, Scottdale and was a member of the Hecla Sportman's Club and former member of the Mt. Pleasant Fireman's Club and 313 Club. Surviving are his children; a son, Walter W. Greenawalt of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters: Sharon Roskovich and husband, Robert, of Belle Vernon, and Michelle Permuka and husband, Rich, of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Diana, Brian, and William Greenawalt, Ashleigh Permuka and Kelsey Roskovich; great grandchildren, Logan, Barrett and Lilly Greenawalt and Desiree Ware; his brother James Greenawalt and wife Shirley of Mt. Pleasant and sister Shirley Ritenour and Husband Harrold of Bear Rocks; also nieces and nephews and faithful companion, his buddie, Chewy.. In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by his wife Donna J. Keslar Greenawalt in 2003 and a brother, Kenneth Greenawalt. Friends are invited from 2 to 8PM Monday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mt. Pleasant 724-547-2122 where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Rev.
