Walter E. Senoski 80 of Mt. Pleasant passed away peacefully on Monday, August 1, 2016 at his home. Walter was born September 17, 1935 in Pittsburgh the son of the late Walter and Tillie Zielinski Senoski, residing in the Southside and the Meadowlands. Walter was a graduate of the Connelly Vocational Trade School and was employed as a draftsman before entering the US Army in 1958 where he designed an incinerator to burn radioactive waste material while stationed at the Army Chemical Center, Edgewood, MD. Walter was also employed as an engineer and bus driver. Walter was an accomplished songwriter, poet, musician, public speaker and hobbyist and author, writing 4 books for the book company, St. Genesius-Cecilia entitled, Gather the Broken Pieces, Pain Versus Love, Divine Mercy and Why We Need It and In Thanksgiving. Walter enjoyed model rocketry and owned Kopter Rockets, various articles written about him were published in the Rocketry magazine. He attended numerous rocket launches in Grove City. His memberships included the prayer groups, Divine Mercy, Brides of the Blessed Trinity and God Our Father. Walter traveled numerous times to Medjugorje, where he had a miraculous healing from esophageal cancer at the Church of St. Blaise Dubrovnik on April 4, 2005. He loved to attend polka dances where he met Judy in 2007 making her his wife on October 24, 2008, they traveled to Medjugorje a seventh time for their honeymoon in June, 2009. Walter's daily prayer was, Bring me someone to love the way Jesus would want me to love Them. Surviving are his wife, Judith Foriska Senoski; sons, Kenneth and Michael Senoski of Pittsburgh, a daughter, Lisa; step-daughter, Susan Gera (John) of Greensburg; step-grandchildren, Isabella and John Paul; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Senoski, a half brother, Paul Szmkowiak (Eva) and brothers-in-law, Terry Foriska (Anita) and William Foriska (Dee), grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by a brothers Joseph and Norbert Senoski, sisters, Elizabeth Simms and Alice Sobocinski. The family would lie to extend their appreciation to Promise Hospice and special niece, Carolyn Krachkowski for their kind care of Walter during his illness. The family is inviting friends from 10am to 12 noon Saturday to the Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 Noon with Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 446 will follow in the Visitation Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105 or Visitation RC Church, Mt. Pleasant.
