Willada W. DeArmitt 87 of Connellsville formerly of Tarrs passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Willada was born October 3, 1926 in East Huntingdon Twp. the daughter of the late Melvin and Ella Louise Schmuck Shaffer. Willada was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Everson; she attended East Huntingdon schools and was a member of the Wagoneers wagon train. She was formerly employed in housekeeping by Inn America and Holiday Inn New Stanton and the circulation of the Daily Courier. Surviving are her children, Richard Hays DeArmitt and wife Mary of Mount Pleasant, Alvin Thomas DeArmitt of Connellsville; grandchildren, Kattie Lynn Thompson and husband Todd, Fred Roman and Bobbi Jo Vickers and husband John; great grandchildren, Dominic and John Olson; sisters, Ruth Ann Lange of Mount Pleasant and Sharon Destifano of DE, Patricia Landis of FL and brothers, Ronald Shaffer of Mount Pleasant and Melvin Shaffer and wife Susan of DE. In addition to her parents Willada was preceded in death by her husband Richard T. DeArmitt; daughters, Darlene and Audrey DeArmitt, a son William DeArmitt, a sister Rita Grace Babe, stepfather, Raymond Caldwell. The family is inviting friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM Monday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mt, Pleasant (724-547-2122) where a blessing service will be held at 9:15 Tuesday followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10AM in St. Florian Catholic Church, United with Fr.
