William E. Lane

William E. Lane Sr. 81 of Mt. Pleasant Twp. passed away July 16, 2015. Bill was born September 12, 1933 in Scottdale the son of the late Glen and Grace Dillinger Lane. Bill was a Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Mt. Pleasant American Legion Post 446 and former member of the American Fox Hunters association. Bill retired from Durloy Steel, Scottdale as supervisor of the furnace department. Surviving are his wife Sandra Wilkie Lane; children, William E. Lane Jr. (Judy) and Matthew Lane (Lisa)of Mt. Pleasant Twp. and Kelly Boring (Cliff ) of FL; grandchildren, Melissa Lane and Nicole Anderson; great grandchildren, Dani Rae Womack, Katie and Hunter Anderson; brothers and sisters, Nancy Zelmore of Mt. Pleasant. Shirley Leasure (Lawrence) of Scottdale, Grace McLean of Smithton, Raymond Lane (Barbara) of OH, Robert Lane (Judy) of Ruffsdale, Barbara Lint of Dawson and Marie Sangro (Reno) of Montrose, NY; also nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law June Lane of Smithton. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a sister Vera Vance and a brother George Lane, brothers-in-law Jake Zelmore, Alvin Vance and Junior McLean. Friends are invited from 2 to 8PM Monday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant 724-547-2122 where services will be held at 11AM Tuesday with Rev. Douglas Show officiating. Interment with full military honors conducted by the Armbrust Veterans Association will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Bullskin Twp.
